QUESTION:
How will my MichMusic charts be sent?
ANSWER:
In the checkout process, you will be able to choose whether you want the chart sent through email (no shipping charges) or through snail mail. (Shipping charges will apply.)
QUESTION:
How much do MichMusic charts cost?
ANSWER:
Please find this information on the MichMusic page on my web site. (Go to www.micheleweir.com, then click on the “michmusic” link.) Each song has a brief description which will give you the info you need.
QUESTION:
Should I make my check for MichMusic charts payable to “MichMusic” or “Michele Weir?”
ANSWER:
You can make checks out to either.
QUESTION:
Do I need to pay tax and shipping for MichMusic charts?
ANSWER:
At this time, tax is integrated into the overall arrangement cost. If you choose to have the music snail mailed rather than sent through email, shipping charges of $3 will apply. (Shipping to Canada or other countries outside the U.S. is $6.)
QUESTION:
My school requires that I have an invoice to be able to make payment. Can you send this?
ANSWER:
Yes. When you request/order a chart, you will automatically be sent an invoice with every order, even if you’re buying on line with a credit card.
QUESTION: I already have the vocal group arrangement, so can I buy the rhythm section parts only?
ANSWER:

If you somehow “acquired” the MichMusic arrangement vocal parts, (at a summer workshop for example,) then you need to buy it!

If you previously bought it, but lost or misplaced the rhythm section parts, (or had a “creative” rhythm section player who accidentally left his or her part in Des Moines while on tour,) they can be purchased for $20.

Please write to me with a specific request naming the song, the choir who is singing the chart, the person/entity who is purchasing, and billing/shipping address.

QUESTION: I lost page 3 to the piano part of “So Danco Samba,” and my concert is tonight! Will you FAX it to me?
ANSWER: Well, I’d like to help out, but I’m already swimming in my own “too much to-do” list.

You can try emailing me, but I cannot guarantee it will be possible. I’m national chair of the “make-every-effort-to avoidexcessive- jumping-through-hoops” club. (M.E.E.T.A.E.J.T.H.)
QUESTION: How long does it take for a MichMusic chart to be sent?
ANSWER: Usually charts are sent within one week, and virtually never more than two weeks.
QUESTION: Can I request that a chart or rhythm section parts be “rushed?”
ANSWER: Sure, if you need it quick I’ll do my very best to get the chart to you asap, but can make no guarantees because of my own tour schedule.
QUESTION: What is the policy for usage of MichMusic charts?
ANSWER: You will be sent one copy of your MichMusic chart, and can xerox as many as you need for your choir, indefinitely. It is then available for use ONLY with the choir for whom it was purchased.

If your school bought the chart, it does not travel with you if you change schools; the new school will have to buy it for their library.

If you conduct two different choirs at different locations, each choir much purchase the chart for their library. Please never give away or loan out a MichMusic chart!
QUESTION: How many copies come with each order?
ANSWER: Just one. Then you will have permission to xerox as many as you need!
QUESTION: I’d like to “view sample pages” of non-MichMusic charts. What should I do?
ANSWER: Most MichMusic charts have sample pages available to view on line. (Look at the song list, and click on "view sample pages.") For music by other publishers,(non-MichMusic), please contact the publisher directly.

MUSICAL SPECIFICS

QUESTION: Are the rhythm section parts fully notated, or, just chord symbol charts?
ANSWER: Some are fully notated and some aren’t. Please find this information on the MichMusic page on my web site. Each song has a brief description which will give you the info you need. (Go to www.micheleweir.com, then click on the “michmusic” link.)
QUESTION: Do you have demo recordings of these songs available?
ANSWER: There is currently no “MichMusic Demo” available. BUT, if on the web site listing there is an “as recorded by” written within the description of the arrangement, then you can write to that person to order their CD which contains a recording of the song. If there is no “as recorded by” listed in the description of a song, please check back because this kind of info is changing all the time! Down the road, I may be able to compile a MichMusic demo CD of all or most MichMusic arrangements. Check back!
QUESTION: My group plans to record one of the MichMusic charts for which there is no recording currently available. If I do so, and you approve, will you list it as the “as recorded by” available recording on your web site?
ANSWER: Sure. Yes, I’d love to have all of the charts recorded if possible! Please write to me about it. Remember, if it is not a public domain tune, you are required to purchase a mechanical license from the Harry Fox agency. (It’s easy to do on line at www.harryfox.com)
QUESTION: I found a possible note (or other error) in a MichMusic arrangement. Do you want to know about it?
ANSWER: Yes, please. I would like to provide the most complete and accurate charts possible. If there’s a note error, it’s something that needs to be changed! Please email me, and thank-you.
QUESTION: Would you tell me the best way to interpret letter C of “Tuxedo Junction?”
ANSWER: Sorry, it’s just not feasible to try to field questions like this; there’s only one of me on this planet! I do strongly recommend that you aquire the recording of the song, if there is one available.
QUESTION: On the recording I have of So Danco Samba I hear some rhythms that are a little different than what I see in the music. Which way is correct?
ANSWER: Please always follow the written notes/rhythms/instructions you see in the music. In come cases I’ve altered/updated arrangements from an earlier version that may have been recorded.
QUESTION: How do I know if the title I want is available in SSAA?
ANSWER: Please find this information on the MichMusic page on my web site. Each song has a brief description which will give you the info you need. (Go to www.micheleweir.com, then click on the “michmusic” link.) Please note that if you would like to see a certain song in SSAA, I’d like to know! Maybe I’ll “make it happen.”
QUESTION: Are the MichMusic charts hand written manuscript, or computer notation?
ANSWER: Most are computer notated, and I’m trying to get them all that way soon. Please find this information for the song you’re interested in on the MichMusic page on my web site. Any that DON’T say, “manuscript” are computer notated. (Go to www.micheleweir.com, then click on the “michmusic” link.)

ANSWER: You can order and buy on line with your credit card, and the arrangments can be sent to you through email or snail mail. (No shipping charges will apply if sent via email.) OTHER MICHELE WEIR ARRANGEMENTS

QUESTION: I heard an arrangement of Michele’s that I liked, but don’t see it in the MichMusic catalog, or in Michele’s list of other published arrangements. Is it available?
ANSWER: Unfortunately, it’s probably not available. Each song’s copyright owner must be willing to grant a print license for their song to be in the MichMusic catalog, or ANY publisher’s catalog. Many times, (for reasons only THEY know,) the song’s copyright owner or distributor are unwilling to grant permission to use a song. (Frustrating!) With this in mind, if you still suspect one of my arrangements may be available, please write to me and ask. (These things change often!)
QUESTION: Can I order Michele’s arrangements that are published with other publishers (non-MichMusic) directly through you?
ANSWER: No. You must go directly to each publisher, or, simply ask your local music store to order it from the publisher. (Go to www.micheleweir.com, then click on the “michmusic” link. See publisher info at the top of the page.)
